Here we are again.
For those of you who do not know, I am Meg Tenney, founder and overall chaos coordinator at UVCC. I like to try new things and bring people together in fun ways. This winter’s fundraiser was no exception to that rule and we are overjoyed to have you here tonight.
The Upper Valley is a special place, as I am sure most of you already know. When we put these shows and events together it is always a leap of faith and we never know if they will be successful but we are always hopeful. After last years Cirque Cabaret, I knew I wanted to do something different, something that brought people together in a way that was supportive, authentic, loving, a little naughty and of course fun. I wanted to be inclusive of families with young children as well as adults who might be looking for a night out with friends. That is where January can be such a DRAG! was born.
Once again the Upper Valley has answered our call and come out to support our programs in a big way this weekend. Thanks you endlessly for showing up at my events, signing up for camp, workshops and all my other crazy ideas. Thank you for allowing us to continue spreading the love of circus arts to all of the children through our school programs in 2024, it is truly one of the best things that we do, hands down. Thank you for being a part of that.
With sincere gratitude, Meg
